Ok so I live in a compact apartment and have a living room/dining room combination, our living room furniture is like a dark sage color and both our entertainment center and our dining furniture are natural wood color so what do you think the best color would be to paint our living room/dining room combination. Thanks for everyones help!!!
I'm a painter and usually neutral colours work best in homes. If you have alot of different colored furniture in a room then one color may not suit another colour. If there is lots of wood grain furniture around I suggest a light coffee color for the walls just dont go too dark because it will make the room look smaller. Go with white on the ceilings because dark colors on the ceiling can make a room feel really small.
Maybe if you want to go a bit fancy you could paint 1 wall a different color to the rest of the walls (I.e a feature wall) maybe like 2 times darker than the other walls, just ask them to tint it double strength. make the feature wall the one where your TV cabinet is.
Hi
Deep dark orange can be good for dining - they say it is great for the place where the whole family spends some time together. we have this in our family/dining area and it feels great!

nothing dark...it will make the space look very small...if you do want a darker color though...you may want to think about sponging the color with white. I would paint it a neutral beige or off white. Just my opinion though(:
What color paint would be the best?
