My 11½ month old is climbing EVERYTHING?

And I am currently spending a large portion of my day removing him from tables and high surfaces. He has even worked out how to push a smaller chair over to the table so he can climb easier. We have a coffee table, a dining table and 4 chairs, and a kiddies table and chairs - and he is non-stop climbing them. He even climbed on the couch the other day and climbed to the top, and fell face first to the ground about a meter below.
Without removing every piece of furniture I have in my house, does anyone have any tips to discourage my little monkey from climbing?

Repetition, time out, and not giving up is the key. Remove him, say no, distract him with something else and, when you can, hide the stools and easy to move chairs or tuck them into the table etc. My son did the same thing, he eventually grew out of it, but saying no and being consistent on my end was the key.

Tell him no when you see him doing it, he will learn.

LOL. I feel the same way about my son. He climbs on EVERYTHING! At the doctors office yesterday he climbed on top the of the kiddie table and every time I took him off of it he throws a fit. He has climbed on top of an ottoman, to the couch, to the table behind a chair and stands up to touch a picture, sit back down slides down the chair and into the floor and does it all over again and again, if I take him off of it then he screams and cries. I haven't tried much, but watch him so he doesn't hurt himself because I don't think I am not able to stop him. So since he likes climbing I am trying to take him to the park more so he can climb on things there and yesterday I finally found the perfect park for him. They have a toddler section play gym there and he loved every minute of it.
