My boyfriend lives in his aunt's home that has a lot of wood laminte items in it. a dining room table and four chairs, a china cabinet, a breakfast table with four chairs that are ugly to me. However, he wants to keep it.
How can I best refurbish to freshen the look? we want to use a dark brown/black color.
Can I paint it? water-based or oil?
Should it be sanded or what?
Can I just cover it with wood laminate or veneer?
What is the difference between the two? which is cheaper? I need some help please, it's making me crazy looking at it everyday. thank you!
***The furniture is great, we just hate the look of it. it looks outdated and we want to swich out some handles and change the color and its good as new for us!
