I have a gorgeous set, big table with two wide leaves, and 6 chairs with padded seats. For the most part it's all in great shape, with a walnut top and chairs, and the table's apron and legs are an antiqued painted finish. The problem is that if I put anything at all on it, it seems to leave a mark - not a white ring - but a mark I can see when I stand back a little and let the light bounce off the table top. is the finish faulty? (I purchased it used) what can I do, short of using a table pad all the time and not letting the beautiful wood show?
Severe wax build up. Get a package, or 2, of cheesecloth and start buffing it off. not hard, but time consuming
Don't use furniture polish on it, ever.
buy a new table. or stop putting things on it.
How can I care for my Dining Room set?
