It's supposed to happen tomorrow, and I want to make sure it does, if possible. I'm only getting it for one TV plus one computer plus phones throughout the house. the TV and computer are in the finished basement.
My first question: where will the indoor phone box go? I don't want some ugly box sitting in the middle of my dining room or kitchen, which are near the utilities and not blocked by drywall. does the box need to be near or connect to a phone? we have a phone in the basement, but it's nowhere near the utility box. on the other hand, the kitchen phone is not far from the utility box. Ultimately, I'd like the wiring to go through the bathroom in the basement--near the utilities--and around to an outlet down there (near the TV).
Second, what type of work will need to be done with the computer? we have dsl now without a problem. will new wiring have to go from somewhere else to the computer? will I need to move boxes to allow wiring to occur, or is the only real wiring to the computer itself? we have coaxial cable from previous owner's cable TV.
Finally, will the technician need access to phone jacks? If so, I'm moving furniture tonight.
Thanks for your answers and any other help you can provide.
