Can someone help me make a ending?

This is the North Vancouver police department”, a masculine voice answered the call. Just as the mother is about to cry for help, she feels a sudden gentle touch of a cold gun muzzle on back of her head. In fear, she pauses for a few seconds.
“If you and the child want to live, hang up the phone”, the gunman whispered resentfully.
The mother slowly put down the phone, feeling death minutes away. “Please don’t hurt me, I only tried to protect my son, he’s all I got; only 14 months old”, she grieves
All of a sudden, the armed hostile aggressively grabs her arm, making the woman scream frantically for her life. He quickly locked his other hand over her mouth making the hostage kick nearby furniture down. A brief moment later she is unconscious. The armed assaulter then lays her on the ground. He then put back up one of the dining chairs knocked down and sat in front of her. Pulling himself together, he started improvising a plan to escape the perimeter the police set up. Suddenly a couple knocks are heard. “This is the police; I need you to open the door.”
3 knocks later, the police officer realizes the door is open and slowly pushes it outward; trying not to make a sound. seeing dining chairs knocked down, he silently radios backup. Alerted with a gun, he starts walking cautiously through the hallway; as he came into the kitchen, he discovers ripped tape on and around a small toddler’s chair. only in the next room, the hostage taker quietly walks out the backdoor, with the toddler. The police officer looks up the stairs, about to head up; he hears the back door slam shut. He hustles out the backdoor, and radios backup, giving them information, about a possible hostage situation.
