Breakfast Nook or Dining Room?

I am designing my house to soon be built and was curious about those who have breakfast nooks and if they still have an actual dining room and which gets used more. Also was curious about how many people would buy a house that has no actual dining room but a built in breakfast nook that can seat 6. the breakfast nook would be created in an L shape where 3 of the seats are chairs that can be brought up from my storage for when I have guests but otherwise its just a table and benching. I want my house to be able to sell eventually if i decide to move and just wanted to know the opinion on having breakfast nook instead of a formal dining room. thank you

Dining decor has become a trend for people.many people ask about the best way to decorate their dining rooms without spending an arm or leg for decoration and putting pieces because adding decent dining room decor will allow making there places friendlier for each visitor and guest.therefore,during a dining decoration, few decorating tips must be kept in mind because they have the greatest influence in determining the mood and look of a room.

Dining rooms are outdated. if you have an area to have a nook and able to seat a decent sized group of people, you will be fine. if you are just now building the house, thinking of selling points should not be an option unless you don't plan on staying too long. Styles change and the trend now is less formal, open and airy spaces. Build what suits you and your family now.

I think dining room but you can share it with your best friend so that you get your best idea.

I love the idea of a breakfast nook! Dining rooms can be used oftern but a breakfast nook is used every day!
The idea of munching on my marmalade laden toast, fighting with a paper and sipping on my tea sounds wonderful!

If possible I would have both. People like the idea of an eat-in kitchen for every day but also like a dining room for when they have guests. A great many houses now days have Islands with breakfast bars in the kitchen and dining rooms. You really need someplace to eat in the kitchen but you a;so need someplace to eat when you have guests. A breakfast nook is great for the family but not so good for company
