Decisionless

Mondays were a drag, but at least they were easy. there was only school, and since Andrea didn’t listen much, there wasn’t much she had to decide. that was always a plus for Andrea, because, she had trouble deciding anything. If her mom had lucky charms and honey nut cheerios in the same cupboard, then mornings would be hell for Andrea. She would take around twenty minutes just to decide which to eat. It’s a good thing there was only skim milk in the fridge.
Andrea walked downstairs and thought about how she was glad there wasn’t an elevator in her house. When she got downstairs, she stopped right before the dining room.
“MOM!” She Screamed.
“Coming dear!” replied her mother with God speed.
With eyes tightly shut, Andrea waited for her mother to show up. with nothing to look at but the blackness of closed eyelids, seconds turned to hours, but Andrea was fine with that, as long as she didn’t have to decide what she was looking at.
Her mother finely showed up. with a slight tug on her bright pink shirt, her mother slowly walked Andrea along. She heard a chair slide, and then was gently pushed into a seat. She opened her eyes in relief.
“Thanks mom” Andrea squealed. “One more decision I don’t have to make!”
“No problem honey, now eat fast. I want to have plenty of time for you to decide how to enter school today. you know, the front, or the back. such a hard choice!”
Globs of Fruit loops were shoved into Andrea’s mouth, as she tried not to look at the bowl. Picking which fruit loop to eat when would be so hard! She would rather stare at a picture of a cute guy than decide anything.
